In the 608: ‘Specialty Care Free Clinic’ celebrating new location

MADISON, Wis. – Formerly known as the BSP Free Clinic, the Specialty Care Free Clinic is celebrating their brand new location on Tuesday, April 26.

The clinic was founded in 2001 by local physicians, Ernie Pellegrino, Paul Simenstad, and Walter Sundstrom. It provides free specialty care to patients by volunteer physicians.

Volunteers provide specialty medical care to uninsured, low-income patients referred by clinicians in south-central Wisconsin. Their goal is to offer uninsured patients access to a similar range of specialists that is available to those with insurance.
