In the 608: Fly-in or Drive-in to Bessie’s Annual Pancake Breakfast this weekend

JANESVILLE, Wis. – Bessie’s Diner, located at Southwest Wisconsin Regional Airport (JVL), is hosting its 4th annual Fly-in or Drive-in Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, June 18, from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. outside the diner by the runway.

The family-friendly event will feature all-you-can-eat pancakes, bacon, sausage, coffee, milk and juice. Guests will also have the chance to get up close and personal with new and vintage planes. In-flight command pilots will receive a complimentary meal.

“We’re taking the pancake breakfast to the next level,” said Melita Jensen, general manager at Bessie’s Diner. “We can’t wait to welcome families out to enjoy their breakfast with spectacular views right up next to some super cool planes.”

Elevate your experience and take to the skies for a discovery flight to feel the thrill of flying your own plane with a Certified Flight Instructor. Discovery flights can be purchased the day of the event on a first-come, first-serve basis. Take a 30-minute flight with Revv Aviation for $99 or spend a whole hour getting a birds-eye view of the event with Elevation Air discovery flights for $199.

Tickets for the event are $12 for adults through June 17 or $14 at the door, $6 for kids up to 10-years-old, and 3 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online.

Proceeds from the 4th annual Pancake Fly-In Breakfast will be donated to the Caritas Community Resource Center in Beloit.

In the event of rain, breakfast will be moved into the conference rooms inside the airport. For more information about the Fly-In or Drive-In Pancake Breakfast, find Bessie’s Diner on Facebook or visit their website.
