VERONA, Wis. – It’s back-to-school for many students across the state this week and that includes those at Verona Area School District.

Wednesday, Sept. 1 will be the first day that PreK through 6th grade, 9th grade and anybody who is new to the district will be back in the buildings. The rest of VASD students will return on Thursday, Sept. 2.

Superintendent Dr. Tremayne Clardy is excited to see the kids back in the building for a new school year. Dr. Clardy says this year’s theme will encompass a time for healing after an unprecedented time during the pandemic.

VASD is requiring all students and staff, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks indoors and on buses. Masks are recommended during outdoor activities when spaces are crowded.
