I-90 eastbound lanes reopen after roughly 20 cars crash in ditch
DEFOREST, Wis. — An estimated 20 cars were in the ditch on I-39/90 southbound about 3 miles north of DeForest due to icy conditions, which closed right and left lanes for about and hour and a half, according to Wisconsin State Patrol
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation said that the incidents began occurring at about 12 p.m. near mile marker 121, south of WI-60.
According to the State Patrol, the multicar crash was caused by snow drifting over an icy patch on the road.
