Hy-Vee recalls macaroni salad for allergy concerns
Three-pound containers of Hy-Vee American macaroni are being recalled because they were incorrectly labeled and may contained undeclared milk and wheat, according to a release.
The product was distributed to 236 grocery stores in Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin, officials said.
The product is typically sold in stores’ ready-to-eat refrigerated cases near the deli, according to the release. It is packaged in a frosted clear plastic tub with a black lid.
The recalled product has a “best if used by” date of 7/31/2015 and a production lot code of 15177D, according to the release.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall, officials said.
