Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin teams up with pub to help pay unexpected vet bills
JANESVILLE, Wis. — The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin and Bazinga’s Pub are fundraising to make life a little easier for pet owners.
The two teamed up for the first of four fundraising events Sunday at the bar and grille, where a meat raffle helped donate money towards “Sophie’s Gift,” which helps pet owners with unexpected vet bills.
Organizer Faith Stephens shared her appreciation for the community’s support.
“We are really fortunate to be supported locally by the municipalities we serve,” Stephens said. “We are lucky to be in Rock County. We have a lot of events booked in Janesville, but we have some booked in Milton as well and are hoping to book more throughout Rock County.”
Each event will feature food and drink specials, a 50/50 raffle, the opportunity to sign up for gift cards, and appearances by dogs available for adoption.
