House fire causes significant damage in Town of Bristol
Lightning may have caused the blaze
TOWN OF BRISTOL, Wis. — A fire in the Town of Bristol Wednesday night may have been caused by lightning.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. at a home in the 660 block of Ridge Point Run in the town of Bristol.
According to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, a neighbor called in a report of smoking coming through the roof of the home. The residents were not home at the time of the blaze.
The fire was contained to one area of the home. The house is not considered a total loss, but there was significant damage done by the blaze.
