House explosion called suspicious
Man seen at home prior to Monday explosion
WATERLOO TOWNSHIP, Wis. — A man spotted at the scene of a home explosion 15 minutes before the explosion occurred is prompting the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to consider the fire suspicious.
Seven fire departments were called to W7496 Manske Road in Waterloo Township Monday after for a report of a home explosion.
A neighbor who reported the fire said an explosion could be heard and felt. Some of the debris from the house ended up in the neighbor’s yard.
A deputy was told there was a man and a vehicle at the home about 15 minutes before the explosion.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office was called in to assist with the investigation.

A family lives in the home, but no one was at home at the time of the fire.
