Honey spill causes sticky situation on highway
Bee farmer lost load in Fond du Lac County
FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Highway crews are handling somewhat of a sticky situation in Fond du Lac.
A bee farmer transporting a load of honey lost about 200 gallons while turning from eastbound Highway 23 to a Highway 41 on-ramp Friday morning.
Multiple agencies were called to handle the sweet mess, including the Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
WISN-TV said firefighters hosed down the spill and dumped sand in the area.
