Home, car hit by bullets during shooting on Madison’s east side, police say
MADISON, Wis. — A car and home were hit by bullets during a shooting on Madison’s east side, police said.
Officers responded to the 5000 block of Milwaukee Street around 7 a.m. Tuesday after witnesses reported hearing more than a dozen gunshots.
Shell casings were recovered at the scene, according to Joel DeSpain, a spokesman with the department.
No one was hurt, DeSpain said.
Witnesses told police a dark blue van with tape over a side window was spotted driving away from the scene. The van believed to be involved in this shooting was found unoccupied near Todd Drive, DeSpain said.
Detectives believe this was a targeted attack.
