Woman airlifted to hospital after colliding with dump truck outside Stoughton
STOUGHTON, Wis. — An elderly woman was airlifted to a local hospital Friday morning following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 138 south of Stoughton.
Dane County authorities said the crash happened just before 8 a.m. on Highway 138 near West Milwaukee Street. Officials said a woman driving a Subaru pulled out from the intersection of County Highway A to head north on Highway 138 when she collided with a man traveling in a dump truck.
The woman driving the Subaru suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted from the scene by UW Med Flight. The driver of the dump truck was uninjured.
All northbound and southbound lanes of the highway were shut down between West Milwaukee Street and Eighty Miles Road for more than two hours while crews were on scene.
Officials said the woman driving the Subaru will be cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.
