Heroin dealer arrested in Monroe, police say
MONROE, Wis. — A heroin dealer was arrested in Monroe Tuesday, according to police.
Monroe police said agents of the State Line Area Narcotics Team Task Force, along with Monroe officers, searched a residence in the 300 block of Third Street at 10:15 a.m.
According to the report, during the search, drug paraphernalia was seized.
Richard D. Ward, 26, was arrested at the home and charged with the delivery of heroin, recklessly endangering safety, maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
The search warrant execution is part of a long-term investigation into heroin trafficking in the area, and the investigation will continue, police said.
