Henry “Hank” Gullick

Henry “Hank” Gullick, age 91 of Dodgeville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab. Hank was born on January 27, 1921 in Dodgeville to Howard and Bertha (Gilbertson) Gullick. He was a 1938 graduate of the Dodgeville High School. Hank married the former Angeline Peterson on January 29, 1949 and the couple were Dodgeville residents their entire married life. Hank worked for Iowa County Co-op before working 31 ½ years for DX Petroleum where he retired as Commission Agent in 1978. He then worked at the Iowa County Highway Department for 2 ½ years and for Orville Olson Painting. He was a dedicated member of Grace Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council and folded bulletins for nine years. He had also served as President of the Iowa County Petroleum Group. Hank enjoyed doing the daily crossword puzzles, tinkering in his garage and yard and going to coffee with his friends. Hank and Ann also enjoyed dancing and going on over 20 Tri-State Bus Tours.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Blanche Venden-Jinkins-Burgess, Darlene Levake and Delores Gullick at age four; a brother, Harold (Lenice) Gullick; sisters-in-law, Claire Marie Gullick, Mildred Fingerson-Allen-Haas and Geraldine Bentzler and brothers-in-law, Russell Venden, Bob Jinkins, Pete Burgess, Melvin Levake, Robert Wienkes, Daniel Bentzler, Francis Fingerson, John Allen and Harold Haas.

Hank is survived by his wife, Ann of Dodgeville; a brother, Curtis Gullick of Mt. Horeb; a sister-in-law, Eve Wienkes of Highland; as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church in Dodgeville. Pastor Steven R. Kottke will officiate with burial in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday after 9:30 A.M. Memorials to Grace Lutheran Church or Upland Hills Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
