Madison Police: No evidence of shooting at far west side apartment building

MADISON, Wis. — The Madison Police Department said there is no evidence of shots being fired after officers were called to a far west side apartment building for a report of a shooting Thursday afternoon.
Department spokesperson Stephanie Fryer said officers responded to the scene in the 9300 block of Glencoe Drive after receiving a report of a person yelling about a shooting and to call police.
A Dane County dispatcher said the call came in around 2:11 p.m.; a News 3 Now crew at the scene said police began to clear the area around 4 p.m.
