Harry A. Lietz
Harry A. Lietz, age 77, of Janesville, died on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at Agrace Center for Hospice & Palliative Care surrounded by his family.
He was born in Edgerton on Jan. 30, 1939, the son of Harry and Marion (Veith) Lietz. He married Gayle A. Gordon in Edgerton on Sept. 2, 1961, and she preceded him in death on June 1, 1991. Harry retired from Parker Pen after 33 years. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, and the Loyal Order of Moose since 1982. He enjoyed bicycling, deer hunting, rock hunting, fishing, watching his grandchildren’s sporting events, playing cards, and dancing.
Harry is survived by his 5 children: Douglas (Jody Collins) Lietz of Janesville, Barbara (Tony) Hickey of Milton, Kenneth (Becky) Lietz of Midlothian, TX, Kelly (Grace) Lietz of Waunakee and Andrew (Becky) Lietz of New Berlin; 13 grandchildren: Kenisha (Adam), Tanner, Tyler, Tucker, Trevor, Cooper, Haley (John), Emory, Copeland, Ashleigh, Collin, Ellie, and Chloe; 3 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Beverly Smith and Shirley Feavel; brother, Wendell (Nancy) Lietz; special friend, Rose Roehl; many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 N. Parker Dr., Janesville with Rev. Bond Haldeman officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
