Harold Bentley Fox Jr., 88, of Rewey, Wisconsin, died on Saturday, January 4, 2020.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Peniel Church, 1449 Peniel Road, Mineral Point, WI, where military rites will be accorded and there will be a luncheon immediately to follow the service in the church hall. Harold was born on January 5, 1931 in Platteville, Wisconsin. He was the son of Harold B. and Agnes M. (Rickard) Fox. He was united in marriage to Patricia L. (Metz) on June 28, 1958. Harold was drafted into the US Marine Corps, where he served in the Philippines and worked as a diesel mechanic, working on bulldozers. Harold was a long-time farmer in the rural Rewey area. He was member of the Peniel Church. He enjoyed music and played the accordion and organ. You could often find him “tinkering” with farm machinery, and he was especially fond of bulldozers and old cars.
Harold is survived by his three children, Deb (Bruce) Enerson, Sherry (Kevin) Miess, Bruce (Crystal) Fox; five grandchildren, Matthew (Michelle) Enerson, Nicole Enerson (fiancé, Jon Engstrom), Creedyn Fox, Colby (Ethan) Jordan, Trevor (Jessica) Gloeckner; two great-grandchildren, William Enerson and Ezra Gloeckner; and ex-wife, Patricia Fox.
Harold was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie M. Fox; his brother, Rickard (Rebecca “Becky”) Fox; and his parents.
