Harold A. Schraufnagel
FALL RIVER—Harold A. Schraufnagel age 88, died on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Columbus Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Columbus. Harold was born on February 15, 1924 in the Town of LeRoy to Alois and Elizabeth (Wolf) Schraufnagel. He was married to Julia Elaine Schafer on May 1, 1947 in Columbus. Harold was a life-long farmer and was employed at Stokely’s Van Camp in Columbus for 17 years, from 1952 until 1969. He was a former volunteer and active member of the Doylestown Fire Dept. Harold enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Elaine of Fall River; four sons, Grant (Kathy) of Columbus, Terry (Susan) of Fall River, David (Donna) of Columbus, Donald of Randolph; one daughter, Susan (Charles) Scott of Westfield; fourteen grandchildren, Duane Schraufnagel (Penny Hoeppner); Kevin (Amy) Schraufnagel and their children, Kylee and Kaden; Julie (Dean) Kraus and their children, Steven and Matthew; Steven Schraufnagel; Daniel (Shawn) Schraufnagel and their son, Blake; Dawn (Chris) Cook; Eric Schraufnagel and his son, Hunter; Joseph Schraufnagel; Jerry (Erica) Scott and their children, Tim, Ivy and Kellie; Charlie Scott; Wanda Dushane and her daughters, Amber and Cheri; Amy Schraufnagel and her sons, Ethan, Preston and Gavin; Kevin (Macie) Buchda and their children, Tyson, Kadynce, Chloe; Shaun (Stephanie) Bradley and their daughter, Sydney; one sister, Rosella (Norman) Smith of Beaver Dam; two brothers, Victor (Dorothy) of Marshall and Gilbert of Sun Prairie; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lorraine Huettner and Bernice Grenas; one brother, Alex.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the funeral home. Rev. Michael Wild will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or the Doylestown Fire Department.
