Habitat for Humanity dedicates two homes in Fitchburg
FITCHBURG, Wis. — Habitat for Humanity of Dane County dedicated two homes in a Fitchburg neighborhood Saturday.
The two Habitat homes, located in the Renaissance on the Park neighborhood, will become new homes to a total of seven people in the next few weeks.
One home will belong to Ryan and Kierstin and their four children. They currently live in a small apartment and will soon be living in their new four-bedroom, two-bathroom home. The family looks forward to the stability that being a part of community will bring them.
“One of the great things about Habitat is that they partner with so many organizations that allow us to become part of the community,” Ryan said.
The other Habitat home, two houses down, will become home to Ana, a woman who moved to Madison from her native Costa Rica in 2001.
The homes are the 280th and 281st Habitat homes in Dane County and the 20th and 21st in the Renaissance on the Park neighborhood. Three more Habitat homes are currently under construction in the neighborhood, and 10 more are planned for the future.
The homes were sponsored by Blackhawk Church, the Habitat for Humanity University of Wisconsin-Madison Chapter and Habitat Young Professionals of Dane County.
