Habitat for Humanity breaks ground on biggest project ever in Wisconsin

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — Habitat for Humanity’s biggest project ever in Wisconsin is underway after a groundbreaking ceremony in Sun Prairie.

When it’s done, the 62-acre community at Westridge Drive in Sun Prairie will feature 118 single-family homes. Habitat will build about 48 of those houses.

“We can’t wait to add Habitat partner families and Habitat volunteers to this space and see it transform into a vibrant neighborhood with safe, decent affordable housing,” Paul Sukenik of Habitat for Humanity of Dane County said.

Habitat has built 48 homes in Sun Prairie since 2000.

This latest project will include four phases and will take several years to complete.
