Gunshots heard coming from area of house party
No injuries, damage reported
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police said officers heard four to five gunshots coming from the area of a house party while they were on an unrelated call early Sunday morning.
Officers said the shots came from a party in the 800 block of East Johnson Street, and one of the officers saw young people scattering in different directions. Several concerned citizens called 911.
Officers temporarily detained two men who had been at the party. One of the men told police he heard the shots but didn’t see who fired them.
A car leaving the area of the party was searched after officers got consent, but no evidence was found.
Police said there were no immediate reports of property damage or injuries. Hospitals were notified about the incident.
