Groups hold COVID-19 vaccine clinic during Cap Times Idea Fest

MADISON, Wis. — SSM Health, Madison College and Neuhauser Pharmacy hosted a special COVID-19 Wednesday as part of the Capital Times’ 2022 Idea Fest.

A limited number of the new bivalent COVID-19 booster vaccines — which target the dominant Omicron subvariants as well as the original strain of the virus — as well as other primary series and booster vaccines were available at the clinic.

The goal of the clinic was to serve those attending the festival and those who can’t make it to other events, vaccine clinic coordinator Sarah Breon said.

“We’ve been working pretty diligently actually to meet the needs of individuals who might not have the wherewithal or the capacity to get to a clinic to get their vaccine, and so we are trying very hard to go where people are in order to offer these services,” she said.

The Idea Fest, a weeklong event that highlights innovations in and around Madison, continues through Saturday. Learn more here.
