A man who was involved in a motorcycle crash at the beginning of June died Monday, according to a news alert from the Green County Sheriff’s Department.

Emergency crews responded to the W9200 block of Highway 39 in the town of York for reports of a motorcycle crash with injuries June 5 just before 4 p.m., according to the alert.

Officials said William L. Love, 58, of Ogilvie, Minnesota, was driving east when he lost control of his motorcycle while going around a curve.

The motorcycle went into the ditch and Love was ejected, according to the release. Love was not wearing a helmet, and was flown to UW Hospital with his injuries.

The Green County Sheriff’s Department was notified Monday by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office that Love had died from injuries suffered in the crash, officials said.

This is the second traffic fatality in Green County this year, according to the release.
