Green Bay police officer makes a local boy’s birthday better
GREEN BAY, Wis. — A Green Bay police officer helped make a local child’s day a little better after giving him a ride in his squad car and a free meal on his birthday after finding the child alone after school.
According to a Facebook post from the Green Bay Police Department, Officer Robinson responded to a call saying a child was not picked up by a parent or guardian at the end of the day. The child’s parent is currently incarcerated and no other family contacts were listed.
After learning it was the child’s birthday, Robinson took him for a ride in his police car and also got him a free meal at a local McDonald’s, thanks to an agreement with the franchise’s owners.
