Grant County supervisor arrested for OWI, berates officer
GRANT COUNTY, Wis. — A video from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office shows a county supervisor being belligerent and threatening an officer after he was pulled over on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated last month.
Robert Scallon, 80, of Boscobel was pulled over on U.S. Highway 61 in the town of Marion just after midnight Saturday, April 29.
Scallon allegedly refused to perform field sobriety tests or do any chemical test to determine blood alcohol content.
Scallon also told the deputy “I want to tell you something, I don’t like you,” after he was arrested.
The Grant County board will meet again May 16. It is unclear whether Scallon will face any discipline from the board over the incident.
