Governor’s annual Easter Egg Hunt canceled amid security concerns
MADISON, Wis. — The governor’s annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Governor’s Mansion has been canceled because of security concerns, the governor’s office confirmed Thursday.
The event was scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Wisconsin Executive Residence.
According to an email from Gov. Scott Walker and First Lady Tonette Walker, the event was canceled “due to a threat directed toward top government officials.”
“We are sad to miss what is one of our favorite events at the Executive Residence,” the email said.
