Governor Evers honors 14 with Financial Literacy Award

MADISON, Wis. — Gov. Tony Evers honored 14 individuals, businesses and organizations as recipients of the 2019 Governor’s Literacy Award at the State Capitol.

According to a news release, the recipients were selected by the Governor’s Council on Financial Literacy from the nominations submitted for consideration.

The release said criteria weighed included innovative implementation, demonstrated measurable results, collaboration with partners, and whether the effort was focused on needs-based groups.

Individuals who received the award included Emma Crawford, UW-Madison Office of Student Financial Aid; Jason Stephens, a school volunteer; and Pat Rorabeck, of SecureFutures, Milwaukee.
