Gov. Walker headed to annual national conservative gathering
Gov. Scott Walker says he is returning to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference’s annual meeting next month in suburban Washington.
The three-day CPAC conference draws many Republican office holders from Congress and the states along with conservative leaders and pundits. Walker spoke at the event last year and in 2015 came in second in a presidential straw poll.
Walker tweeted on Friday that he is speaking at the meeting scheduled to run Feb. 22 to Feb. 25. Walker says he is “excited” to speak about “Wisconsin’s bold reforms.”
His appearance at the meeting as Walker is ramping up for an expected run for a third term in 2018.
