Badgers fare well in Academic Progress Rates

Wisconsin women’s hockey team’s 12-game winning streak came to an end Saturday in Minneapolis when the Gophers beat UW 4-1. 

Karley Sylvester scored Wisconsin’s only goal, tying the game 1-1 in the second period. It was Sylvester’s ninth goal of the season. After that, Minnesota scored the final three goals. Between the pipes, UW goalie Ann-Renee Desbiens made 27 saves.

The loss marked UW’s third defeat of the season and Minnesota’s 12th win in a row. Wisconsin and Minnesota play again Sunday at 2 p.m.
