Good day shop set to open on Madison’s east side
One-OneThousand will have a permanent retail space
After testing out a pop-up and events, One-OneThousand, a maker space and creative studio, is planning to open a permanent retail shop called good day shop in its warehouse and studio space on the east side.
According to a blog post written by Founder Sarah Artz, she is opening the shop so customers can come in and shop for home and lifestyle goods throughout the year as opposed to just at markets and events.
“The last couple of years, I’ve explored ways to sell the goods of the people and brands that inspire and delight me everyday,” Artz says in her post. “Through pop-ups and events, I’ve been playing, testing and learning what objects and stories get people excited and wanting to know more about the why — how — who goes into the things they covet, hold close and share.”
Hey, that&039;s me. On the right there – next to Meg enjoying a moment, you know that kind of moment where your face makes…
The good day shop will have goods “chosen with intention and delight.” Artz says she carefully thought of which brands she planned to feature in the store.
Some of the products are made by One-OneThousand’s studio members and others are made by designers, makers and indie brands from around the country, especially from the Midwest.
The good day shop will open April 5 with regular hours of Fridays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the One-OneThousand studio at 78 N. Bryan St.
