Golf-ball sized hail falls in Windsor, DeForest area
DEFOREST, Wis. — Hail more than 2 inches thick fell in the Windsor and DeForest area Monday night as a line of storms blew through the area.
The northeast portion of Dane and southwest portion of Columbia counties were under a severe thunderstorm warning Monday afternoon.
The line of storms dropped golf-ball sized hail in the area.
Jillian Barber in Windsor told News 3 the rain and hail only lasted about a minute around 4 p.m. She said she didn’t see any significant damage.
