Going to the Orange Bowl to watch the Badgers? Here are some budget-friendly options to get there
MADISON, Wis. —
The Badgers are Orange Bowl-bound – and you can be, too, if you’re interested in finding a travel package for the game.
There are lots of all-inclusive options. including this one from the UW Alumni Association, and another from Funjet . Both can cost up to $5,000 for a pair of tickets, though.
If you’re interested in bowling on a budget, you can create your own travel package for cheap.
Google Flights lists a round trip flight to Miami out of Milwaukee for around $600 right now. Hotels.com has hotels at about $100 a night, and Hotwire prices are similar. As of Monday evening, Air BnB listed spots for as low as $50, though only 12 percent of bookings were still available for the weekend of the Orange Bowl.
How about game tickets? Hard Rock Stadium lists them at $300 or more. To save a few bucks, opt instead to watch the game at Wisconsin bars in town: Finnegans Way in Miami Beach or Duffy’s Tavern in Miami.
