Glen George Hallett
Glen George Hallett, age 90, of Richland Center, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2012 at Pine Valley Healthcare with his family by his side. Glen was born at home in Eagle Township on December 30, 1921 the son of Roy and Esther (Schmidt) Hallett. Glen graduated from Richland Center High School in 1940. He was in the US Navy and served on the USS New Jersey during 1945-1946. After he was discharged in 1946, he worked as taxi driver in Delavan, Wisconsin and for a short time at Teaches Apple Orchard, Gays Mills. He then returned to the farm in Richland Center to help his father. Glen married Faith Lorena Cook on October 23, 1954. They bought the family farm where they raised their family and continued to farm until retirement. After retiring from the farm, Glen enjoyed mowing and taking care of the yard and gardening. For several years, Glen and Faith took pleasure in watching church league softball games and their grandchildren’s many activities.

Glen was preceded in death by an infant daughter Eleanor; his parents: Roy and Esther Hallett; an infant sister Shirley; sisters: Mabel Klebs and June Carden; brothers in law: Arnold Klebs, Freeman Carden and Leo Cooper.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 22, 2012 at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Burial will be in the Richland Center Cemetery with military rites provided by the local veterans military memorial honors unit. Friends may call at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM until service time.
