Glen Frank Holcomb
Glen F. “Frank” Holcomb, age 71, of Janesville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center, Janesville surrounded by his family. He was born in Ashland, WI on March 16, 1943, and married Lenice C. Briggs in Beloit on March 16, 1964. Glen served 3 years in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He was employed at General Motors, Janesville, and owned his own business, A-1 Pump and Well Drilling. He was a member of the UAW Local 95, and enjoyed military vehicles.
He is survived by his wife, Lenice Holcomb; 4 children: Lynnea (Jerald) Strickland of Janesville, Deidra Schultz of Fond du Lac, Bradley (Sheila) Holcomb of Janesville and Kari (Paul Treder) Holcomb of Janesville; 9 grandchildren, including Kari’s son, grandpa’s #1 helper, Codey Holcomb; 2 great grandchildren; and special family friends, Randy and Donna Schultz and Ray and Linda Kjendlie.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014, from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. Private burial services will be in the Town of Rock Cemetery with full military honors.
