Girl shot with arrow now recovering at home
A 7-year-old Campbellsport girl is now recovering at home after being shot in the back with an arrow last week.
Aryanna Schneeberg was shot May 21 while playing with friends outside her home. The girl was taken to a Fond du Lac hospital and then transferred to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
WISN-TV reported Fond du Lac County Sheriff Mick Fink interviewed Aryanna on Tuesday to get a firsthand account of what happened that afternoon. The girl’s mother, Laura Beth Schneeberg, said the sheriff said authorities were following a number of leads but hadn’t made any arrests yet.
Aryanna spoke to the media from her front porch. She said the worst part was that the stitches itched and that she can’t jump while she plays.
