Geraldine Deere, age 77 of Lake Delton, Wisconsin walked on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and extended family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin with Pastor Tom Dunbar and Greg Blackcoon co-officiating. Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
Geraldine was born February 9, 1940 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin the daughter of Julius and Ida (Little Soldier) Whitedog. She graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School. In June of 1959 she married David Deere and attended UW River Falls. She had worked at the LaCrosse Rubber Mills for a short time. She dedicated her life and most of her career to working for and with the HoChunk Nation.
Geraldine is survived by her children, David (Lana) Deere, Donald (Bev) Deere, Pamela (Jeff) Rusch and Melissa (James) Rochester; grandchildren, Jackie, Jenny, Stuart, Sonja, Sara, Nick, David, Matthew, Geraldine, Liz, David Jr., Chenoa, Julius, Josh and Sasha; and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Byron and daughter, Tamara.
