Gerald A. “Al” Timmerman, 51, of Platteville, died on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Dubuque.
Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Melby-Bendorf Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Father Francis Steffen will officiate. Private family burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the Melby-Bendorf Funeral Home & Crematory. Al was born on February 25, 1961 in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of James and Joan (Schroeder) Timmerman. He worked for Gene Droessler, Jr. doing construction. He worked for Dick Bellmeyer for many years and then in Ladysmith at Weathershield. Most recently Al has been working for Sam Kaiser in Hazel Green. He enjoyed fishing, four wheeling and spending time with his dog, Daisy. Al was an avid Miami Dolphins and Chicago Cubs fan.
Al is survived by his son, Dustin (special friend, Olivia Erickson) Royce of Montfort, WI; stepdaughters, Angie (Cory) Erickson; Felecia and Tabatha Hastings all of Mineral Point, WI; five grandchildren, Christopher Royce, Nathan and Sophia Erickson, Dominic Hastings, Carter Hastings; three sisters, Jackie (Earl) Hale of Platteville; MaryJo (Bruce) Droesller of Cuba City; Betty (friend, Kevin McKee) Burkholder of Cedar Rapids, IA; six brothers, Jim (Docha) Timmerman of Colorado Springs, CO; Darrel (Janet) Timmerman, Roger (fiancé, Lori Braund) Timmerman, Mike (Paula) Timmerman all of Platteville; Randy (Pam) Timmerman of Hazel Green; Nick (Nancy) Timmerman of Platteville. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Jim on September 9, 1999 and Joan on May 21, 2012.
