George B. Zapuchlak, age 55, of Lake Delton, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly April 24, 2017 at his home.

George was born on April 13, 1962 to John and Anastasia Zapuchlak. He grew up in Lake Delton where his family owned the Mayflower Motel. In his later years George dedicated much of his time to the family business.

He shared his love of hunting and fishing with his brother, Bob, nephew, Peter, and many friends. George took great pleasure in entertaining his family and friends. He always insisted on being the generous host. His generosity was beyond compare. So much so that the happiness of others always outweighed his own.

George cherished his lifelong friendships which resulted in many hours spent sharing stories of mischief and mayhem (you know who you are). George was a hero to his family and his loving spirit will be profoundly missed.

George is survived by family members; sister-in-law, Jill Zapuchlak; niece, Tanya (Hans) Backhaus and children, Gunnar and Maia; niece, Lara (Kevin) Flock and children, Josie and Cooper; nieces, Nadia Zapuchlak, Suzette Zapuchlak and children, Lydia and Bo; niece, Bianca (Erek) Johnson and son, Anders; nephew, Nicholas Richards; cousin, Roman (Patty) Kuzyk and family as well as many other loving family members.
