Garver Feed Mill project adds three new businesses
Surya Cafe to open second location
Garver Feed Mill officials announced three new tenants, Perennial-EAST, Briar Loft and Surya Cafe, that will open when the project is finalized.
A release said the three businesses will join Nessalla Kombucha, Kosa Wellness, Sitka Salmon, Ian’s Pizza, Calliope Ice Cream and Underground Catering.
Perennial is a yoga, meditation and wellness community that has been in Fitchburg for the past seven years and plans to open its second location, Perennial-EAST, at Garver Feed Mill. The owner, Megan Grace, is designing the space to embody the community’s purpose.
Surya Cafe, a gluten-free and vegan cafe in Fitchburg, is also opening its second location at Garver.
“I’m excited to see Surya Cafe flourish in this beautiful historic building with a past rooted in the processing of plants,” chef Lauren Montelbano said. “With our plant-to-plate approach, and an interior that will prove to be an extension of the adjacent Olbrich Gardens, I think we will be a celebrated addition to the community at Garver.”
The third business is Briar Loft, a boutique floral business. The team will provide wedding and event floral design at Garver along with arrangements for local offices, restaurants, hotels and homes.
The Garver Feed Mill restoration started in late 2017 and is scheduled to be finished by summer 2019.
