Fundraiser goal reached to help Mount Horeb teens become EMTs
MOUNT HOREB, Wis. — The Mount Horeb Area Joint Fire Department has exceeded its financial goal to develop an EMT class for area high school students.
The program is a partnership of the Mount Horeb Area School District, Madison College and the Mount Horeb Area Joint Fire Department.
To help cover the additional costs, a special fundraiser was launched through the State Bank of Cross Plains.
The goal was to raise $9,000, but as of Wednesday the fundraiser was closing in on around $11,500
Classes begin Tuesday and will go through December, according to the post.
