Franksville woman, UW-Madison grad named 75th Alice in Dairyland
MADISON, Wis. — Her name is Taylor Schaefer, but you can call her Alice.
Schaefer was selected as Wisconsin’s 75th Alice in Dairyland during an event at the Monona Terrace Saturday. She will work as a communications professional for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.
A Franksville resident, Schaefer worked on her family’s farm and was a youth leader in the Racine County 4-H program. She studied at UW-Madison and was part of the Association of Women in Agriculture, Badger Dairy Club and UW Marching Band.
Schaefer interned with UW’s Animal and Dairy Sciences Department and the Mid-West Farm Report. She will take over for the 74th Alice in Dairyland, Julia Nunes, whose term ends in July.
