Frances B. Mace
Frances B. Mace, age 97, passed away peacefully in her sleep, listening to Christmas carols with her family by her side on December 24, 2014. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 21, 1917, the daughter of Gilbert and Gladys Bennett. She married Col. Wallace P. Mace in Reno, Nev., on January 29, 1943. She was a member of the Madison Stake of the Church of the Latter Day Saints, a champion bridge player, golfed and bowled into her late 70s, and loved taking daily walks, where she always looked forward to visiting with those she met along the way.
She is survived by her children, Gilbert (Elizabeth) Mace, Stephen (Sandy) Mace, and Sue (Neil) Kirst; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren with one due to arrive shortly; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Wallace Mace; her parents; and siblings, Helen (John) Willard, Fred Harris (Elaine) Bennett, and Robert (Jenny) Bennett.
