Fountain, Moehn pace the MG Boys Invitational
Monroe runner posts nationally ranked 800 time
MONONA — Madison Memorial’s Daurice Fountain and Monroe’s Ethan Moehn had big nights and Middleton won the team title at the Monona Grove Boys Invitational track meet Friday night.
Fountain won the 110 meter hurdles, the 300 meter hurdles and the long jump while Moehn won the 800 in a time of 1:51.51 which is the third fastest 800 by a boys high school runner in the United States this season.
Madison West Jack Wellenstein set a school record in the 400 meters in a time of 48.58 seconds.
Middleton won the team competition behind event wins from RJ Pertzborn (600 M), Ernest Winters (100 M), Tanner Rahman (Discus), Parker Johnson (pole vault) and Andy Keeler (high jump).
