Former Sen. Hopper posts bond, released from jail
Randal Hopper spent Sunday night in jail
FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Former Republican state senator from Fond du Lac Randal Hopper was jailed following a report of a fight late Sunday at his ex-wife’s home, according to the Fond du Lac Reporter.
Hopper was taken into custody at Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of drunken driving, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass, according to a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office new release.
Hopper spent Sunday night in jail. He posted a $500 cash bond and was released from the Fond du Lac County Jail at 11 a.m. Monday, according to the Fond du Lac Reporter.
Hopper served as state senator until he was defeated in a 2011 summer recall election.
Hopper currently serves as executive director of the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation.
