WESTON, Wis. — A former Marathon County teacher has been accused of possessing over 100 upskirting videos of children on his phone, according to a probable cause statement made in court Friday.

WSAW-TV said Travis Greil was a teacher at D.C. Everest Senior High School in Schofield who has since resigned.

A Marathon County district attorney told reporters that the amount of videos is based on a preliminary review of Greil’s phone. Officials are continuing to investigate his other devices.

WSAW said the investigation began Wednesday after students told officials they believed Greil was possibly using a device to record underneath their clothing, which is also known as upskirting.

Officials said Greil admitted to the recordings after police confronted him.

An investigation is ongoing, as it is unknown who the victims are and how many other devices are involved.

Greil’s bond and charges will be reviewed Feb. 28 once the investigation is complete. The current charge has a penalty of up to 3 and 1/2 years in prison with a maximum fine of $10,000.
