JANESVILLE, Wis. — FlannelFest, presented by Blain’s Farm & Fleet, is returning to Janesville on Feb. 22.

According to a release, the event features 50 home-brewed beer samples from 27 brewers and at least 32 different beers from craft breweries. The event will have two large, heated tents on Festival Street in Town Square. This year, there will be day-of details and voting for the homebrew competition on the Blain’s Farm & Fleet app.

“Downtown Janesville Inc. is excited to bring this event back to downtown Janesville,” Courtney Perakis, Downtown Janesville Inc. event chair said. “The event nearly sold out last year. We had more home brewers than we could accommodate. Thanks to presenting sponsor Blain’s Farm & Fleet, and a host of other local sponsors, we will welcome twice as many home brewers and double the craft breweries.”

Participants can sample all 50 home brews and an eight-person panel will judge the brews. Twelve prizes will be awarded, including a People’s Choice Award. There will be free parking on adjacent streets downtown, in the parking structure on North Parking Drive and Wall Street and in multiple lots around the event.

Tickets will be $40 through Feb. 8. After that tickets will be $45. Each ticket includes a commemorative beer mug, samples, unlimited entries in the Lazy Man Run and games. Find tickets here.
