Fitchburg restaurant robbed at gunpoint
Police: Robber demands money, flees restaurant with cash
FITCHBURG, Wis. — A Fitchburg restaurant was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night, Fitchburg police said.
Just before 7 p.m., Fitchburg police were dispatched to 3050 Cahill Main for a report of an armed robbery at the Sabores Michoacanos restaurant, according to a news alert.
The robber allegedly entered the store, demanded money and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The robber displayed a black handgun during the robbery.
The robber is described as a black man, approximately 35 years old, 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball hat, black sweater, blue jeans and black dress shoes.
Fitchburg police continue to investigate the robbery.
