Fitchburg police investigate multiple reports of shots fired overnight

FITCHBURG, Wis. — Police in Fitchburg are investigating multiple reports of shots fired overnight.

Officers were called to the 2000 block of Greenway Cross, near Popeye’s, at 8:19 p.m. after several people called saying they heard gunshots.

Police used a K9 to try to track down the suspects, but no one was found. No injuries were reported, and police say they don’t believe the public is in danger.
