Fitchburg AMC theater becomes part of New Vision Theatres

A former AMC movie theater in Fitchburg is now operated by New Jersey-based New Vision Theatres.

The company announced on its Facebook page Thursday that 10 theaters across the country, including the Fitchburg 18 + IMAX, are now part of New Vision.

The Fitchburg theater is no longer listed in an online directory of AMC theaters.

AMC still operates the Star Johnson Creek 12 theater in Johnson Creek. It also owns the Sundance Cinema at Hilldale after the chain was sold to Carmike and then AMC.

As of Friday evening, signs on the theater’s exterior still reflected the AMC branding.

New Vision Theatres is delighted to announce that the locations listed here have joined the New Vision Theatres circuit…
