Fire damages home in Beloit
1 person suffers injury in fire
BELOIT, Wis. — The Beloit Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a home Thursday morning.
The fire occurred at a single family home in the 1300 block of Shirland Avenue at about 5 a.m.
The Beloit Fire Department said there was heavy fire at the front of the home when firefighters arrived.
One person was injured in the fire but they refused treatment and transport to a hospital, according to a Beloit Fire Department news release.
Fire officials said the structure sustained heavy damage in the fire. They estimated damage to the home at about $38,500 and damage to the contents at $5,000.
