Fire causes major damage to north side home
Neighbor helped get homeowner out safely
MADISON, Wis. —Madison firefighters knocked down a fire at a home on the north side late Friday night that caused more than $90,000 in damage.
The fire was called in just before midnight at the home in the 900 block of Blaine Drive on Madison’s north side.
According to the fire department, firefighters arrived two minutes after the call came in, and had the blaze knocked down within 10 minutes.
Nearby neighbors discovered the fire when they saw a glow coming from the house, according to the fire department. The neighbor ran to the home to wake up the homeowner. The homeowner was not hurt.
